Portraits in the Snow

I traveled to Truckee California for Marce & Vincent wedding in February 2019. Of course as being a new destination and completely new scenarios for me I traveled some days prior to the wedding to scout the area but also to use this time and photograph the couple at their special places. I’ve never had a photoshoot in the snow and I knew it would be one of a kind, so I started shooting all I was seeing around me even from the car.

The first day we visited the frozen lake where the ceremony would take place and then we went up to the mountains for the sunset. Notice how the street and everything is still uncovered with the snow. The day before the wedding a storm hit and everything was white giving us amazing light and scenery for photos. On the next day early in the morning we went up there as there are some old abandoned railways and then we did a little hiking to a frozen lake, I must say hiking in the snow is tough but totally worth it.
